At the end of each scenario, the GM defines the players’ level of success for each of the adventure’s objectives.
There are three levels of success: minor, normal and major.
Each scenario generally has one main objective and one or two secondary objectives, so a character can gain up to 9 SP.
| Objective achievement level | Gain in success points (SP) |
|---|---|
| Failure | 0 SP |
| Minor | 1 SP |
| Normal | 2 SP |
| Major | 3 SP |
With these points, the character can acquire new ranks, characteristic increases, and other bonuses according to the following scale.
Proficiencies
Proficiencies must be purchased in order (you cannot purchase rank 3 before purchasing ranks 1 and 2). Proficiencies of different types can be priced differently.
This table shows the costs of purchasing proficiency ranks for different origins. Each box shows the cost in SPs to acquire a rank of proficiency classified under this characteristic.
| Origins | Physical | Mental | Social |
|---|---|---|---|
| Human, Halfling | Equal to the purchased rank +1 | Equal to the purchased rank +1 | Equal to the purchased rank |
| Elf, Gnome | Equal to the purchased rank +1 | Equal to the purchased rank | Equal to the purchased rank +1 |

Increasing one of your characteristics costs a number of SPs equal to twice the level you need to reach. A characteristic cannot exceed 5.
