Group actions

< 1 min read

Sometimes, all the characters perform an action together, helping each other – climbing a cliff, pushing a car, etc. When this happens, all the players make a roll using the appropriate ability against the difficulty set by the GM.

Simple version

If the majority of characters succeed, then everyone succeeds together. Otherwise, everyone fails.

Advanced version

If you wish to increase the simulation’s intensity or to highlight certain important actions in your adventure, you can use this method:

Multiply the number of characters involved in the action by the difficulty of the action. The result gives the total number of successes needed to succeed in the group action by adding up all the successes of the participants.

Example: 4 characters participate in the action. The difficulty is medium (2). Therefore, they must obtain at least (4×2) 8 successes in total to succeed together. Otherwise, everyone fails.
